Product Description
Slurry pump components include wet parts, sealing parts, bearing assembly, pedestal, and other parts.
Wet parts refer to components like the impeller, volute, frame plate, and throat bush that come into contact with the fluid. These parts are prone to wear and corrosion and require periodic replacement.
Common materials for pump parts include iron, steel, bronze, brass, aluminum, and plastic. For slurry pumps, high chrome alloy, rubber, polyurethane, and ceramic are primarily used. High chrome alloy and rubber are the most common, while ceramics are being tested for longer durability.
High chrome alloy (27% Cr) is widely used for pH 5-12 environments, offering hardness up to HRC58. For lower pH conditions (as low as 4), A49 material is used, especially in FGD processes.
Rubber materials are best for fine slurries and low pH conditions (down to pH 2) with options like R08, R26, R55, and S02 for specific needs.
Polyurethane has gained popularity for handling both corrosive and abrasive conditions in specific applications.
