Manufacturing process of butterfly valve castings:
Design and mold making:
Molds are made according to the design requirements of butterfly valves, including molds for valve body and valve plate.
Metal smelting:
The selected material (such as cast iron, stainless steel, etc.) is heated and melted, and the chemical composition is adjusted to ensure performance requirements.
Casting molding:
The molten metal is poured into the mold, filled into the mold cavity, and then cooled and solidified to form the initial shape of the butterfly valve casting.
Cleaning and polishing:
Remove the gate and flash, and clean and polish the surface of the casting.
Heat treatment:
(Optional) Improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the casting through processes such as annealing and quenching.
Machining:
Precision machining of castings, such as machining valve sealing surfaces, threaded holes and other connection parts.
Quality inspection:
Inspect the size, surface quality, mechanical properties and internal defects (such as pores and shrinkage holes) of the casting.
